Our Services

People often wonder what does speech therapy encompass? There is a detailed delineation of what we cover at Pediatric Speech Connections (PSC) below.

Delayed talkers

Late language emergence (LLE) is a delay in language onset. It is diagnosed when language development trajectories are below age expectations.

Feeding Difficulties/Disorders

Feeding therapy can be used to address not only ‘picky eaters’ but also feeding difficulties related to sensory, oral-motor, behavioral, and/or structural issues.

Speech Sound Disorders

Patterns of speech that are not age appropriate or developmentally expected can be addressed within PSC.

Oral-Motor Impairments

Children with oral-motor impairments have trouble controlling their lips, tongue, jaw, and cheek muscles.

Language Disorders

‘Language’ is a broad term used to describe receptive and expressive components of how we communicate.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech

Children with this disorder know what they want to say, but have difficulty with the motor planning required

Thumbsucking cessation

If thumb/digit sucking persists after the primary (baby) teeth have erupted, it can drastically change the growth patterns of the jaw

Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders

An orofacial myofunctional disorder (OMD) describes any irregularities in the form and function of the muscles of the face and/or mouth.

HAPPY CUSTOMERS

“Our son worked with Divya for 6-months, and we were so happy! She was great to work with, and our son loved her. Best decision we made.”

Jace K

“Our daughter had been receiving speech services in her school for two years, but we saw little improvement with her speech and language. Shortly after starting with Divya, we saw immediate improvement with her speech sounds. Divya was able to use PROMPT therapy in a fun way to help our daughter make her speech clearer; now she is able to be understood by her peers and teachers more frequently, so thank you Divya!”

Ayanna T

" Divya has helped our son so much! He absolutely adores her, and the 1:1 speech sessions have really helped him with his speech. What we love the most about Divya is that she truly cares about our son, and made an instant connection with him. She was so knowledgeable about milestones, and was able to guide us well as first-time parents on how to help our son at home also. We miss her! ”
